[edit] Known bug
There is a known bug in the chat settings whereby the settings for the current character are indeed correct but the client seems to have cached the settings of whichever character last used the client.
You can flush the cache in either of two ways:
- By opening the chat settings and clicking the Cancel button however, you the need to do this for each of the 5 chat tabs.
- or
- Alt+Z to the Character Selection screen and select the same character again.
The correct chat settings are activated by either method.
